How was it at other firms you worked with? If you take the same policy, what was the process?
From a property standpoint, at the last company I worked at, Markel, I had to go into six different systems, entering mostly the same type of information before I could do a quote. It took eight to 10 times longer to do a quote. Depending on the age of the insurance company, it determines how many systems there are, how many patchworks they've done, how many systems talk to each other or don't talk to each other, and how much of the same information you have to enter in different systems, whether it's pricing, analysis, or the quote.
