Why is this company interesting?
Wix is an Israeli software company that enables its users to create a professional website utilising a drag and drop interface. Coding knowledge is not required. The company operates a freemium model and has 220 million subscribers of which six million are paid subscribers as of April 2022. Wix has a founder-manager who has created an entrepreneurial team-based culture, a large addressable market and sticky subscription revenues. Wix is now trying to expand into the professional end of the market through agencies.
