If I'm considering investing in the FTAI business because I'm interested in the module factory and the service offering's attractiveness for airlines, is there anything else I should be asking about? Are there reasons you think people will increasingly adopt this way of repairing engines, or are there impediments we haven't discussed that might stop it from continuing to grow?
The benefits of a modular exchange include cost savings, at least 30% lower than a full overhaul. Additionally, there's virtually no risk of cost overrun. We've discussed turnaround time. Typically, the longest turnaround might be 15 days, with most being five to seven days. This is highly competitive and flexible. For a small airline with just a few aircraft, this approach allows them to keep planes flying, which is advantageous compared to leasing or buying an engine. Even with one spare engine, they can minimize aircraft downtime and maximize earnings. We've covered the three main factors.
