Why don't companies like Amazon, Google, and Meta, who have built these robust and impressive networks to connect all their data centers and Internet points of presence, offer IP transit?

For example, their cloud connect products like Amazon Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, and Google Cloud depend entirely on telecommunications companies like Lumen, AT&T, and Verizon. They do not want to compete directly with us. Additionally, the architecture of their networks, including their backbone, isn't really built for IP transit. They lack the necessary peering. Amazon is arguably the closest to achieving this, but they still rely on companies like Cogent for their Internet because they do not have peering with everyone and need to manage off-net routes.
