To wrap up and look at some of the biggest lessons from your experience, how do you organize these companies? Let's start at the business unit level.
That's a good question. I think buying small companies that don't have enough synergies, or at least similarities, with the portfolio you already have is a challenge. If you have many small companies, you will have many CEOs and you need to scale up, which should be avoided as much as possible at the headquarters. Addtech has managed to do that. The Business Unit manager today handles much more turnover and profit than they did five years ago, for example. So, scaling up in a decentralized way is the best approach.
