Carl Allen

Carl has over 35 years operating experience in UK grocery and general merchandise retail. He began his career in 1985 at Sainsbury's, staying at the business for 15 years. He then moved to Iceland Foods for four years, eventually becoming Head of Merchandising and Buying Services. Carl joined B&M in 2011 as Operations Director, a role he held until 2015. More recently, he was COO at the Original Factory Store, a smaller UK discount business which has been trading for over 50 years. Carl now consults, bringing his IPO, operations, commercial sales and CVA experience at an executive level to a variety of retailers.
