That makes sense, and I appreciate it. A lot of focus in the technology space for 3PLs is on physical robots. What can you tell me about the software side, like warehouse management systems and integrations? Many companies talk about AI predicting for customers better than they can predict for themselves. How does that factor into this?

A major driver of inefficiency in any warehouse is the inability of our customers to forecast accurately. If I know how many orders are coming in a week, I can staff and train accordingly. The number one development in recent years is using AI to improve forecasting. As forecasts improve, it puts pressure on me as a 3PL to be prepared with the right equipment and trained personnel. Accurate short and long-term forecasts will drive a new level of efficiency. This means no idle staff, no overtime, and a more streamlined operation. The data side of this, especially using AI, is the most exciting aspect.
