Okay, but what about the competition?

I believe Floor & Decor needs to reconsider their strategy. There are many emerging players in the soft lines or carpeting sector. My concern for Floor & Decor is that they might be neglecting a category mix due to their strong focus on hard surfaces. If these smaller players enter the hard surfaces market, they could gradually chip away at Floor & Decor's market share, even as new stores open. This could lead to lower budgets for these new stores. I'm unsure if Floor & Decor's strategy is to grow through revenue rather than market share. They aim to expand their footprint across the United States, but my concern is that they're ignoring trending category mixes. There should be more discussion within Floor & Decor's leadership about their strategy. Why not enter a segment that could add to the bottom line? It doesn't make logical sense to me.
