I was wondering about your education background, whether you came from a chemistry background, because it seems necessary to develop the products you're talking about. Marrying the business side with the product side is a great skill set to have. Thank you for going through your background. I'd love to zoom in on something first. I think you received some of the questions I wanted to ask, but let's start at a high level. Why do you think the company or Hailey wanted to sell now? What is it about their life cycle that made this an obvious time, or was it?
It was very strategic. I think it was the right time and the right partner. Rhode was doing extremely well when I left last September, and we were already considering scaling and expanding. We had two options, hiring new people or finding a partner with strong structure who is an expert in scaling. The brand was doing very well at the time, and I believe its valuation was very high. So the brand decided to explore looking for the right partner. We had a new CEO, Nick Vlahos who used to work at the Honest company. The CEO of e.l.f. had also previously been at either the Honest company or Lysol, so they had an industry connection. But really I believe it was a strategic move, the right time and right partner.
