I see, so there is a compromise on quality, for sure.
I might want an ingredient in my lip product that helps with hydration, like buriti oil from Brazil. They might find a similar, less expensive ingredient that performs the same function. They're duping the performance piece, not necessarily using the exact same ingredients. Then there's the production in China and the mass quantities they can produce.
