What made you feel that they had integrity?

It was from talking to the folks during the interviews. I have to admit, I got lucky. The advice I give my teenage children today is to dive deep into a company's culture before accepting a contract. At the time, I was pretty clueless, but I got lucky. I guess staying for 18 years answers your question, as it showed me the integrity was there. It was first demonstrated by Bob Lane. I'll give you an example: Bob Lane, before John May and Sam Allen, would start a meeting on technology and innovation by saying, "Before we get into technology, I want to remind you all that here, the 'how' is as important as the 'what.' We will do things right, share benefits with our customers, and avoid any shenanigans. If anyone wants to do things differently, there's the door." No one walked away. That was impressive to me, and I felt I was in the right company for what mattered so much to me.
