I see. How do the different suppliers in your portfolio compare? Specifically, in power transmission, bearings, and gears, where Dodge operates, how do they compare?

I think they compare really well. They're a very strong brand with great name recognition in the industry. When you talk to customers managing MRO and understand power transmission and bearing and mechanical PT, Dodge is a very well-known name. They have good inventory, and their products are engineered well. From that standpoint, pretty much everybody knows who they are.

What was the ASP comparison like between Timken and Dodge for the customer price?

The price difference was not significant, probably within 10% less. If Dodge had put together a pricing program for the customer, they could have retained the business, but they lost it all.

What about the types of applications where Dodge is involved? Are they more heavy-duty or difficult to replicate by competitors? Are they more sensitive to failure, or is there anything else in that regard?

If you put the right bearing from Dodge up against the right bearing from SKF, Regal Rexnord, or Timken, they will perform similarly. All these major brands are manufactured to high quality. The steel involved is good, and the seal designs are very similar. Each brand might claim their seal design is better, but it depends on the application and the bearing you use. There are benefits to different ones.
