What about logistics and delays? Does working with several suppliers for the same product increase the risk of delays?
When we're building homes, these are just empty lots with numbers on them. Delivering materials to the job site involves a lot, and it can definitely cause problems. We already have issues like spacing and working around different equipment. That's another reason we prefer to work with one company, as it allows us to coordinate deliveries better. For instance, if we have a big lumber delivery one day, we usually keep other deliveries out on those days because we know they'll need all the space. Space is very tight in the communities because land is expensive, so we build as many homes as we can. Our space is limited.
