Sometimes having eccentric founders is a feature, not a bug. It takes a unique personality to achieve something like that. When you mentioned that he's a bit odd, could you give me an example of what that might look like?
I think it's just the culture there, the way he reacts. It used to seem like it was ruled by fear, like no one wanted to get on his or Susan's bad side. I've never had an issue. I was a director there and helped build out their phase one unit when they first decided to enter the phase one business. I worked closely with August. I remember one meeting where he came in looking like he had a fire behind his eyes. He insinuated that he wanted to see X, Y, and Z, assuming I didn't have it. But when he walked in, I handed him a piece of paper with everything he asked for. He looked at it, and the fire went out. He was as nice as could be. That's just the way he gets results. I don't think he's a people person.
