What do you mean by "major" and "weren't allowed"? Who is not allowing you?

The market wouldn't bear it. We couldn't do 100x increases. We were very careful about how we managed price because that is the one thing that would make somebody want to leave - if you gouge them. When I say "weren't allowed," it was from a retention standpoint. We weren't crazy.

What do you think are the competitive advantages one can have in vertical market software?

The ability to get deeper in the vertical. The more specific you are, the less somebody has to think. Vertical market software at its best is when implementing the software makes me run my operation better. Think about wanting to start a club when you have never run a club in your life. If Jonas forces you to answer questions to configure the system, and every question you answer as you configure it is using a best practice, just by using that software, you are running a better club.
