I think it might be useful to start with the history of Blackline in your region. Since you introduced them, how has that evolved over the years?

Blackline's technology offering is unmatched by any gas detection station. Blackline is not just about gas detection. Their unique selling point is the connected solution. The gas detection is a minor part. I don't even consider Blackline a competitor to renowned brands like MSA, Honeywell, or others. Gas detection is only 20% of their technology offering. The rest is about the connected solutions and connectivity, which is something unique in the market that nobody else offers at that level. Companies like Industrial Scientific offer something similar, but the data they provide is not even close to Blackline.

Looking at the evolution of Blackline in the region, how has it grown over the years since you introduced it?

Recently, I had a discussion with a very interesting client who said, "I feel poor if I'm not using this technology. No one else has it, and I want to use it in my plant." However, there is a body called CITC, the Communications and Information Technology Commission, which requires confirmation for its use. Blackline devices can be used anywhere for gas detection, including Aramco, SABIC, and any of the Aramco JVs. However, as mentioned earlier, we are selling these devices not only for gas detection. Gas detection is one option, but the main unique selling point is the GPS location, communication, messages, and all these features connected to the cloud, which require certain approvals.

Looking at the evolution of Blackline in the region, how has it grown over the years since you introduced it?

Blackline, I assume, is in an advanced stage to obtain all these approvals from the government body, from the client side, from loss intervention, from the Aramco side, and so on. Once they have it, anybody can use the device. At the moment, there are restrictions from the government, so they cannot use these options. If you do not use these options in Blackline, then you are using this device only as a gas detector. In that case, they might opt for a cheaper option or other available fleets from MSA, Industrial Scientific, Honeywell, and others.
